To do disaster work one needs to be trained so that they are a help and not a hazard on the field. We offer many educational opportunities on disaster which can be anything from preparing for a disaster, responding during a disaster or responding after a disaster. Each event includes an honorarium or love-offering to help cover travel costs and material needs. We respond to churches (and other faith-based organizations), businesses, senior citizen homes, schools, libraries, and other civil organizations. It is important that before entering a disaster site you are equipped with knowledge and skills to move the town forward and not cause more disasters yourself. If you are unable to volunteer it is also important that you are prepared for a disaster wherever you go.
